Flinders shows research strengths in world rankings

Flinders University has been listed among the QS World University Ranking's top 200 elite institutions world-wide for its performance in three subject areas - medicine, psychology and sociology.Sociology was ranked in the top 100 globally.The University's Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research), Professor David Day (pictured), said Flinders has also had a strong showing in the German-based CWTS Leiden Ranking system of scientific publications, appearing among the top 500 universities for the first time.Professor Day said that since the QS rankings are intended to provide comparative information at discipline level and to highlight the excellence of institutions in specialist areas, the results were very pleasing for ...
