Citations celebrate student learning at UniSA

Outstanding contributions to student learning at UniSA have been recognised with the Australian Learning and Teaching Council (ALTC) today announcing awards celebrating the efforts of seven teaching staff members.
 
The ALTC's Citations for Outstanding Contributions to Student Learning are awarded to university staff who demonstrate sustained dedication to improving the student learning experience.
 
Dr Denise Wood from the School of Communication, International Studies and Languages has been recognised for engaging undergraduate students through service learning and research activities that promote social and ethical action.
 
School of Management senior lecturer Mr Peter Balan won attention for his innovation in approaches that develop students' ability to relate classroom teaching to industry and community application.
 
Mr David Blaiklock from the School of Art, Architecture and Design was honoured for excellence in the approach to Illustration Design teaching which supports, motivates and engages student learning through the recognition of individual priorities and professional focus.
 
Enhancing the overall experience for first year mathematics students won Dr Malgorzata Korolkiewicz from the School of Mathematics and Statistics her Citation.
