There are lots of reasons people find themselves looking for accommodation. It may be because you have decided to move in with your friends, you might need to move closer to your place of study, or maybe your current accommodation is no longer available.
Some students choose to live on campus, in a share house or some even choose to move back home to help them reduce living costs while they are studying. Whatever your decision, there are a number of services that can help you find the right accommodation solution for you.
Quick Facts
- Before you choose a house, consider the location's facilities like shops, schools and public transport; your travel time to work, study and friends; and how noisy and clean the area appears.
- Write a wish list of what you are looking for before you meet with a real estate agent so you can tell them exactly what you are looking for.
- Decide on your budget [what you can realistically afford] and stick to it – don't be panicked into paying more than you can afford.
- If you see a house you like that needs repairs, make sure you get a written agreement with the landlord that the repairs will be completed before you move in.
